So why do you take vitamin or multivitamin supplements?

"At this point in time the science is not sufficient for us to estimate how much benefit or harm there is from taking vitamin or multivitamin supplements to prevent cancer or heart disease," Dr. Michael LeFevre said.

Notice he didn't just say benefit, he included "harm"! Interesting.

    Whew! For a minute there I thought I had found a magic pill that would keep me cancer-free.

    Seriously though, I take a multivitamin to cover any gaps in my micronutrition. I don't track my diet to the point of knowing just how much riboflavin (for example) I eat.

    Cause they dont want neural tube defects so I take a prenatal and to supplement the growing baby, then I got diagnosed with anemia so the doctor told me to take iron, well iron is better absorbed with vitamin C so take that, and a tums cause the damn heart burn is relentless. Oh and vitamin D read a recent study it was helpful in pregnant PCOS'ers.

    Oops that was about heart disease and cancers...NVM :blushing:
