hard to believe, but yes this is legit.....apparently out in Moscow, you can ride the subway for the best price ever.....30 squats or 30 lunges.....

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/technology/2013/11/13/19/00/subway-ticket-machine-accepts-squats-lunges
A first in public transport, the unconventional machine was installed at the Moscow subway station to promote the 2014 Winter Olympics to take place at Sochi, Russia.

As part of the initiative, riders can receive a free ticket by standing in front of the machine's camera and performing 30 squats or lunges.

The machine proved popular in its first few days of operation with many taking up the challenge, as shown in footage posted to YouTube this week.

of course the real question is....what would be the fare for cabs now?? 30 burpees?? I could live with that....take it a step further.....can I run a 5k for an "escort"???? \m/

I'd hate to be standing in that line though- you get some cheap sob who's out of shape taking 10 minutes to do 30 squats because he doesn't want to pay and then you're late for work!

Not really a new concept. Around here there are certain parts of town where a Good Morning will get you a ride all day long.

I'd do it. It seems that many countries could use something similar to promote some healthier lifestyle.

Burpees are the devil. I'd rather do 30 pullups.

Ha ha. If you're gonna demand 30 burpees you better have a defibrillator on hand. Just imagine if they were timed and you had say 2 mins to do 30 burpees.

There would be A LOT less free rides if you're looking for 30 consecutive pull ups. Even clapping push-ups are easier.

Unbroken 30...yeah that's a whole different monster right there. I'm aiming for 25 unbroken strict pullups...almost there. Forget the burpees though...hell to the no!

This is a fantastic idea. Where I live, I'm not sure the line would be long, though. People would rather ride their motorized scooters.
