Need to loose weight after quitting smoking

Hello everyone,

Just joined the site and wanted to stop by and introduce myself.

I have lost over 35 pounds in the last 2 years.....dieting and exercising. Two months ago I decided to quit smoking - and the pounds started piling up again (put back on over 10lb) - I know it was the right decision to decide to call it quits - but obviously now I'm eating much more than usual....and its very hard to control the food cravings.

If anyone would like to add me to their circle please ...that would be awesome - just need some extra motivation.

You can add me. I quit smoking a few months ago, lost my brother and smoked a few more cigs during that time. Not smoking currently and hopefully won't again but I have been dealing with emotional issues regarding my brother's passing and then not smoking so I am trying to not use food as my outlet but it has been really difficult. Always can use another friend so feel free to add me!

  • Adding ya...smoked a very LOOOONG time and quit for a few years. started again a year ago and just recently quit again (its been 22 days 4 hours 50 minutes...you get the point). I've had a few slips here and there but nothing I couldn't overcome.

Funny thing is, I've been struggling to lose weight ever since I STARTED smoking again. I lost 50 lbs, quit smoking and gained 15 back but it wasn't a horrible 15 lbs, I was in the best shape of my life really (p.s. that's not saying much though, I've been a slouch for the majority of it lol :). Then I started smoking again and quit exercising. No drive to get to the gym AT ALL.

I'm slowly trying to work exercise back into my routine. This double chin has got to go...

ETA: the no drive to get to the gym has resulted in gaining almost the balance of the 50 lbs back.
