Success stories from using the Gazelle??

Hi! My mom has a Gazelle exercise machine she said I could have and I was wondering if anybody has had any success using this? I can't afford a gym membership and I HATE the cold more than anything so I'm wondering if using the Gazelle will do anything for me as far as weight loss.
