Low Calorie Burn?

Ive got an HRM for my workouts and the calorie burn always seems to be on the low side for me compared to everybody else..
Ive just started Insanity and for the 42 minute cardio plyometric session this morning I burned about 260 calories… My Heart Rate was between 150 and 180 the whole time…I weigh 128lbs and I think I’m reasonably fit… Looking on google, some people say they burn between 700 and 1000 calories doing Insanity??!!
When I used to go to Zumba, my HRM would always show about a 200 calorie burn less than my Sister who is of a similar weight/fitness to me…
My workouts are always in the 200 and something range calorie burn for about 45 minutes, I don’t think Ive ever gone over this..Does it sound about right for my weight or could the HRM be giving incorrect results do you think? It’s the - Beurer PM 25 Heart Rate Monitor, It was reasonably cheap.. I'm wondering if I should maybe splash out and get a decent Polar or Garmin one..
Thank You in advance!

yep, get a polar. But, to be honest if you only weigh 128 and are pretty fit then 200 for 45 minutes wouldn't be unheard of, I'm 153ish atm and not overly fit, and a 35 minute session on average sees me burning between 200-250 calories depending on how hard I go.0

To be honest it sounds about right for your weight. Any of these figures are only approximations - are you intending to be very precise about the exercise calories you eat back?0

Thank you both…
Maybe I will invest in a Polar or put it on the Christmas list!
I don’t really have a plan with eating or not eating my exercise cals back at the moment, Its something im trying to figure out at the moment, what will work best for me. Ive hit a bit of a plateau, so Im trying to mix things up a bit to see what works for me. I was just curious with the calorie burn really as it just seemed to be low compared to what other people burn… But I guess I don’t know their weight etc so shouldn’t really compare I suppose!0
