Shift Worker

As it says above I work shifts based on 10:00- 22:00 and 15:00-03:00. Taking food to work with me is a pain as it goes warm and there is nowhere to store it. I've fallen off the diet wagon massively over the last few weeks, consuming probably about 3500 calories a day minimum. I'm 5ft 7", was reasonably fit but now have started to pile on weight. Any tips for eating on shifts? I know I've got to get back into the routine of exercise, I'm supposed to be running a marathon next year so need to start my training program very soon, but I seem to be trapped in a cycle of work and food.

Maybe try to take foods to work that are like snacks.... eat your meals when youre home and snack at work.... just a thought0

Hi I know what your saying as I work shifts is well what I do is take my food in a cool bag with one of those freezer blocks in it.
that way it stays cold alternatively you can use a flask to keep hot or cold food in remembering that you don't have to put liquid in a flask I sometimes just put chopped up fruit or veg in mine.
I hope this helps you out.0
