I got mine from Walmart for $100. The screen eats batteries but it gets the job done and doesn't take up a lot of space. It's sturdy enough for my 320 lb hubby to use and take the abuse of 2 kids lol. I see used ones on facebook community yard sale sites and craigslist sometimes but still at least $100.

do you know what brand? I've tried craigslist and they always seem like a good deal until I read the reviews lol

Mine is Weslo G 3.8. I just checked Walmarts website and now it's $184. I got it in January when the fitness stuff goes on rollback for all the new years resolutions.

I have the cheap walmart one too. Mine is a Golds Gym one. It's ok, works fine but the first post is right, it eats batteries. I would try to find one that plugs in instead or that can be either way.

I also have a treadmill and an exercise bike so i don't use the elliptical as often.

@Lauren (meant to hit quote lol) running might be free but it's not my favorite thing to do at all haha much prefer the elliptical esp since winter is pretty much here.

Also, don't pay too much attention to reviews on walmarts website. In my experience people give low reviews and it turns out they were just putting it together or using it wrong. 90 day return policy gives you plenty of time to make your own judgements about it.

i got mine from walmart too (for around $100) - but it was really flimsy and is broke now.... i can still get on and run but nothing else works... no settings, no resistance, not even the screen turns on. I would say to invest a bit more money for a better one. not in the thousands, but a couple of hundreds?

Yeah this is what I pretty much expected, I'm giving up on searching for one on craigslist and just going to get one Black Friday or something

But, what about those (ridiculous) ads a certain car company ran a couple of years ago with a guy claiming that his car cost him less in maintenance than jogging? :noway:
