    THANK YOU to all the posters who reported trying it. I gotta admit it was really kind of the OP to take the time to post this and her ideas at the end for combos are top notch so much variety.

    I'm always curious how these turn out and I'm grateful to see that ppl tried it so I'm gonna try it next week. One of the combo's she suggests probably the squash. Hopefully I will remember to report back as well. Perfect idea for winter and lots of protein. Great!

    Yum! I've made similar casseroles using leftover bread as a bottom before. I haven't tried cottage cheese in one, though! I'll try that, for sure.
