Starting Insanity (Again)

I am planning on restarting insanity...I started back at the beginning of September. I would do 3 insanity workouts a week because I still wanted to go to my group fitness classes at the gym. I have completed all the way through "day 17" of the insanity calendar. I want to restart it because I feel like I now know the program a little better.

I also was not following the nutrition guide. I have had others tell me they had great success, even without following the food guide. I want to do my best to do insanity every day and following the nutrition guidelines. I usual eat between 1300-1500 calories a day and I never changed my macros. I used to believe the 1200 calories was a good thing (yes, yes, I know...not such a grand idea - at least not for me, maybe for others).

This week I changed my food goals to 1,972 (based on insanity elite food guide) and changed my macros to 40/35/25. I don't plan on eating my calories back. Am I on the right track with this? What are your thoughts as far as the food guide, restarting, and changing my macros? Thanks! =)
