not losing weight

since i started back at uni i have not been losing weight as i normally do, when i do lose anything it comes off so slowly.
the only change i have made is that i have stopped going to the gym, however i do walk over 2 miles a day now, with some of that being up a very steep hill (so out of breath!)
i still eat between 1200-1400 a day, however i don't log the calories i burn from walking i dont know if this effects anything.
any help would be appreciated!
