Best Cardio @ gym for fat/weight loss

I have finally left the 30 day shred:happy: and re-joined the gym after 2 years! I'm pretty excited.
I just wanted to get some opinions on what type of cardio i should be doing to get the max fat/weightloss. Back when i was at the gym, all I ever knew was pretty much the elliptical and running(outdoors) and of course i did weights 2-3 times a week.

What do you guys find that works for shedding the fat? I was thinking maybe doing interval training on the treadmill... 2 mins high 2 mins low etc.....I will also be doing some weights 2 times a week!
