feeling sick...

I feel lethargic and sick to my stomach if I try to eat less than 1600-1700 calories daily for more than a couple days. Everything that takes effort makes me feel nauseous and I get really tired, but my sleep schedule starts to become erratic as well. I lift weights 4+ times a week, run, and play volleyball. Even though I feel sick, the only thing that makes me feel better is actually eating more food, so when I go back to eating 2000 calories a day, I'm fine. However, I'm trying to burn fat, so eating at my maintenance really isn't doing it for me. Is 2000 not actually my maintenance anymore if i'm starting to build more muscle? Why do I feel sick at less than 1600-1700 calories?

Are you getting enough protein? I've found that with upping my protein intake I am not as hungry. I am actually struggling to get enough calories. I have been averaging 800 and have not felt hungry. I cut out almost all sugar also.

Actually feeling nauseated shouldn't be related to eating less especially when you're hitting a decent amount of calories to start with. Open your diary and what are your stats?
