Old member, but needing a fresh start. I'm hoping that by reintroducing myself to the boards it will help me get in the mindset to get this done and hold myself accountable. Last year I went from 260+ to 183, we moved to a new station, add a 1 month visit to all the family during the move and add in the fact that gyms are incredibly more expensive here, and you get me 20lbs heavier. I have a ton of anger at myself about that, I swore I'd never see the 200s again but I'm just trying to let it go, there's nothing I can do about what's done. All I can do is get right back into it. So here I am, promising to myself and an entire board of people I've never met (lol) that starting now I will track every single thing that I eat, and I will at least attempt to exercise every day. Last year I discovered that about 90% of your success in this is just finding what works for you, and having a gym with childcare is what worked for me lol. That 2 hours break from my kids was motivation to go, and that turned into love of running and weight lifting and just pushing my body to be stronger. It's been really difficult without that, but I'm trying to get a new routine. I've decided that that 18 minute run on the treadmill I just got in before my toddler went into full on meltdown, is better than no run at all. And while I want to kick my own *kitten* when I see that my less than 32 minute 5k has turned into a 38 minute 5k, I know I can get back to where I was, and even better, if I just work at it. So here I am, pledging to get this 20lbs off, and continue onto my goal of..I'm not quite sure what my goal is but I'll know it when I hit it lol.

Edited: I will add though, that I have quit a over 10 year habit of smoking, which contributed a bit to this gain lol but it was definitely worth it. Although sometimes I am tempted to start again to help with my weightloss, I'm not going down that path. And if anyone is worrying about quitting for weight gain, I know I can get this weight off with some work. Let me tell you, the feeling when I breathe now when I'm running is so much better.

Cwil: I am re-beginning again too! This is a great thing! Can't worry about yesterday, it is gone. A 38 minute 5K is fantastic- Best of luck as you pursue your goals.
