Hi Everyone,
Introducing myself, I have lost 50 pounds on my own "Don't Eat Junk that Made You Fat" diet / exercise. After falling off the wagon for a few months, I gained back about 3 or 4 pounds. I scared the crap out of myself, and decided to get MFP.
At my fattest in college, I was 315 lbs, then I got into raving (specifically psytrance, msg me if you want to chat about it!), and dropped down to 291.2 lbs from the exercise from that (read: high intensity aerobic dancing for 5+ hours). I still do that on a semi-regular basis, so every once and a while my body gets a shot of intense aerobic exercise
My turning point was when my older sister was told she was pre-diabetic. I knew that I would end up like that if I didn't change myself and my poor eating habits. I have always known how to eat correctly, but it was just a matter of DOING it, cooking my own food, and stop being lazy etc.
Some of the healthy habits I picked up: I started doing Kung Fu back in June (just got my first sash last weekend!!). I have not gotten into weight training yet, but I have bit the bullet and got a gym membership. I just need to will myself to get off the elliptical and immediately get to the weight rack!
I am 25 years old, and ready to be in the best shape of my life!
