I can’t seem to find the self-discipline to lower the amount of food I am eating. I have cut it down to about 2100-2300 on most days. I already feel like I have restrictions on what I am eating.
I am not losing weight. I am feeling a little gutted. I don’t know how to get this under control.
I know it is my mind that is killing this. I just can’t make myself feel like 2100 calories is enough food. I still feel hungry.
I know in that is technically more then enough food. Why wont my mind catch up. I have been doing this for 5 months and feel like I am moving backward and not forward.
Any ideas or thoughts on how you were able to get your calories down and keep them down would be helpful.
P.S. MFP says to loose a pound a week I should have a daily goal of 2050. I am not that far off but still not losing weight.

A friend of mine uses this method:
http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/
I am now trying it out and it gave me more calories than MFP did, and it also has another calculator to tell you how much fat, carbs, protein, etc to eat daily and per meal.
Also, try eating more protein-filled meals, for instance if you find yourself very hungry at lunch time, then for breakfast eat something like eggs or something with a lot of protein - it will help you stay full for longer.0 -
I agree with increase protein intake - I choose egg whites when I need a little more to eat. Has less fat than regular eggs. Greatly increase your water intake too, that helps keep you feeling full between meals.0

Water and protein! I'm not sure what your meals consist of but if you eat more real whole foods rather than the "diet" junk you will find yourself fuller using less calories and this way you will also get the nutrition your body needs. I used to stay in my calorie limit but ate a lot of the processed snacks and frozen meals and such but could barely make it from meal to meal. I rarely need snacks between meals now since I stopped buying those.0
