What's a good length of time to workout?

What is a good length of time to aim for during a workout? Also, should I strength train and do cardio for an equal amount of time or is cardio more important? Is 30/20 a worthwhile goal? I know some people say it all adds up, but I prefer to do my workout all at once. (BTW weight loss + toning is my goal).
Thank you for the help in advance!

It's up to you in my opinion.
I did 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes strength training at the gym today.0 -
From my gym girl .. who is smart about these things, she said equal amounts of cardio and weights is a good thing.
I know the cardio haters will be all over this .. but like whatever.0
