What's a good length of time to workout?

What is a good length of time to aim for during a workout? Also, should I strength train and do cardio for an equal amount of time or is cardio more important? Is 30/20 a worthwhile goal? I know some people say it all adds up, but I prefer to do my workout all at once. (BTW weight loss + toning is my goal).

    It's up to you in my opinion.
    I did 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes strength training at the gym today.

    From my gym girl .. who is smart about these things, she said equal amounts of cardio and weights is a good thing.

    I know the cardio haters will be all over this .. but like whatever.
