Oooh my goodness! I thought I better not skip dinner (though was surprisingly unfull all night) and the only time I could eat was just now and it is way late to be surprisingly wayyyyyyy full? Is it remotely possible that my stomach shrank because it was soo long since and lunch and the full feeling is blown out of proportion/i didn't really overeat? The meal calories weren't that bad…. What do you guys do when too full late at night? Thank you sooo much insightful educational amazing and always inspirational MFP peeps :)

  • For me it depends how close I am to my calorie target for the day. If I am "close" (within 10%) I don't bother eating and call it a day. If I am quite under I try to grab the most calorie dense protein that I can find (we have some pre-cooked chicken breasts in 100gram baggies in the freezer) and have a sandwich. It is a real case by case basis. If I know things are going to be busy then I preload more of my calories in the early part of the day so that if I skip dinner and have an evening snack instead my calories for the day are still good.

Nah, your stomach didn't shrink in one day (and I am not sure it really shrinks anyway.). It sounds to me like you're just not hungry. That's okay.
  • Thank you sooooo much wonderful peeps :)
Why do i feel like i binged? The goal was not to skip healthy meals/get too hungry in the middle of the night and honestly it wasn't the yummiest but i didn't want to waste. Hmm can you relate to that part too/have you any perspective to share? Multiplicity of thanks and mountains of gratitude for your time in reading caring reflecting yes sparkly seas of thank you in advance

That overfull feeling is from going so long without eating and you've trapped air in there. AKA, gas. What I do is either take some Gas-X, sip water pretty consistently, drink some sort of carbonated drink, and then wait it out. If you're use to going long periods, it usually won't happen. But if you typically eat every so many hours, it will. It helps to drink some water before hand and eat slowly with small bites if you've gone longer than normal. I highly doubt you over-ate.
  • Thats incredibly helpful! How would i know do you think?
Cause honestly i still have calls left, have to do a bunch of things before can sleep i realized and would love to have a smallish sweet treat if not a binge…
I have trouble knowing what is a binge/what to feel guilty about/what is "excessive"
My calls are usually fine though I'm not the best at tracking. I do loose weight just pretty slowly and with plateaus I don't know if I'm eating too much but I have soooooo much self doubt

Track on here. Track EVERYTHING. If you can, weigh EVERYTHING. Eat what you want in moderation and stay at your cals. That's all! I wouldn't consider it a binge if you choose, track, and do all that you are suppose to. Good luck!
  • Tremendous gratitude you are incredibly helpful tonight. I'm going to open up my diary now…..
  • I am just still not sure when/if I binge…
I don't trust my body and have self doubt. Am working on it mmmmhmmm but feedback is tremendously helpful yes!!

Why is you daily calorie goal set at 950? That would explain why you are worried about binging. You body is not getting enough. Do you feel hungry all the time? I would eat one of my cats if I tried to stay on 950 for anything more than a few days.

(Disclaimer: I would not actual eat a cat)

Edited to add: your food choices look fantastic, but you should be eating more, unless this is being medically supervised.
  • i don't that must be a confusion ill check

Is or is not calories/food a measure? Today I ate like 400 of a (very) healthy chocolate fudge treat but

Again, you need to net more than 500 calories a day.
    Eat.
