It's that time of the month when I'm starving!

How do you deal with it? It typically lasts 4-5 days a month, before my period. I'm just so hungry. In the past months I've been able to stay under my goal but now it's a bit lower and I've gone 150-200 over twice this week already... which has pretty much never happened.

And I'm still hungry.

This sucks. I haven't got a period in 1.5 month, haven't lost any weight in 1 month because of that (and I lost 6 lbs the month before eating 50-100 more calories a day! I just always lose weight after my period), and this is just wearing me down. I'm hungry and not losing weight.

Just need some support I guess, that it's not going to last and I'm finally going to lose weight again...

I just suck it up most of the time. What are my alternatives? I have run numbers six ways to Sunday and I cannot justify any increase in my calories (the rolling TDEE spreadsheet is a really good thing to look at if you haven't already). Usually if I stick it out for 4 days my hunger goes back to a normal level for a while. Mixing things up macro-wise/food-wise/activity-wise may help, at least on a psychological basis if nothing else.

Try choosing less calorie-dense foods so you can eat more of them. Chew gum. Drink a lot of tea or coffee...

It sucks, but it's just something that has to be dealt with. :/

Don't stress out. As long as you are not going over maintenance it should not derail you much at all.

If I'm that hungry, I just eat. I try to make it something with protein and fat, because it will keep me feeling full longer.

I've had the same situation.... I eat more salads....Calorie wise they are good choice. I use the Boathouse yogurt based dressing. they usually are about 45 k's for 2 tablespoons.

Try eating at maintenance a couple days and doing some light exercise. It can't hurt you, and worst case scenario you just stall for week. I sometimes do this when I'm sick of restricting calories and want to splurge a bit without setting myself back.
