Debate

I cannot believe the debate on the radio at the moment. The basic story is:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/m42-reopens-after-bridge-threat-2802956

OK, it's the Mirror, but the story is correct. If I ever get to the point where I want to end it all, I would hope for a little more compassion than that expressed by so many here....

And they have guests on the radio defending the vitriol of the Twitterers and other posters.

So is social media such a brilliant idea when it reduces people to this level when they can hide behind the anonymity of the internet and not have to look people in the eye when they behave so despicably?

Well his behavior was selfish, but urging the man to jump is just disgusting. Some people really should be ashamed of themselves. Granted, disrupting traffic for an entire day is rude and ridiculous. But to think that some people felt like their time was more valuable than his life is beyond revolting.

    This exactly!
