Hello, guys. I know there is thousands topics on sugar, but I still wanted to ask a question. There is difference between natural sugars/and other sweets, right? Because Today I ate one banana and one apple and I'm already over my sugar intake. Is this a bad thing? Or I shouldn't pay attention to it? Also, what other healthy or at least healthier sweets can you recommend for me? Dark chocolate is it good? And I love to eat walnuts, unprocessed of course, is it good to eat them daily or should I avoid them? Sorry if these questions are already asked.

Btw if this is important in anyway, I'm 18 years old girl, height: 165cm, kg: 54. My goal is to maintain my current weight, and my calories are 1200. I exercise 4/5 a week for 30 mins.

sugar is sugar...the only difference is that a piece of fruit is going to have a lot of other nutrients associated with it..whereas a sugar or a cookie is pretty much just sugar.

MFP's recommendation for sugar is based on the WHO's recommendation for added sugar due to the propensity of people to consume multiple 40oz Big Gulps daily as well as all of the added sugars in refined foods.

Personally I'd suggest managing your macros (in this case, carbs) rather than micromanaging your micros (in this case sugar) unless you have a medical condition or something else going on that warrants it.

I'm always on track with my carbs. I never go over them. Thanks for the reply!
