meal timing is irrelevant. I eat dinner every night between 8:30-9:00 pm. You burn calories 24/7...most of your burn comes from just being alive. Exercise whenever you want to exercise...it makes no difference if you go for your walk in the morning and then eat a late dinner or eat early and then walk in the evening...it's all irrelevant. All that is important for weight loss is that your are in a consistent overall energy deficit.0

why do you care? I typically eat my last meal at 1130 PM
and besides- you're walking- go whenever- if you were power walking- or running- I'd wait 30-45 mintues- but otherwise- just go because you want to- not because you feel guilty for eating.0 -
Huh?
^^ Yeah, WHAT?
Time has nothing to do with when you eat. Or walk. Eat when you're hungry, walk whenever.0 -
I'd start walking when you need to be somewhere other than where you are.0

They usually say it is best to eat dinner early and I thought 9pm is too late for dinner.0

Who's they?
Eat whenever works for you. Truly, it doesn't matter.0 -

tip for you
"they"
are usually wrong.0 -
Head out the door, and after your walk, let us know how it went.0

The vast majority of what "they" say is nothing more than old wives tales and bro-science. You require XXXX calories to maintain you weight...it doesn't matter when you get them...if you get them you will maintain weight..if you cut for your maintenance you will lose weight, regardless of when you eat.0 -
I went for a 45 minute walk with my dog. Feeling great0

I just wish 'they' would shut up.
Stop listening to 'them' and eat or walk whenever you like. You can walk at midnight and eat at 3am if that's what fits your lifestyle.0 -
