1200 Calories a day Question.

This Question has probably been asked before. But I didn't find anything on it.
I have been trying to eat about 1200 cal a day but usually come in with less.
How many Calories are you eating/exercising per day? and I see a lot of people say you are supposed to eat your exercise calories. That is where I am getting confused. Logically, calories in - estimated BMR - exercise = more weight loss.
I would like to learn about this to maximize my weight loss but not sure where to find the info. would appreciate it if someone can provide me with a link.

As a man, you need a LOT more calories than 1200 calories. You will not be able to get your macro nutrient or micronutrient goals with that many calories. Eating that little will lead to substantial muscle loss for you. I am 31, 5'11, 185, desk job and workout 6 hours a week and eat 2400-2600 calories. I aim for 180g of protein about 90g of fat and the rest carbs. I lose 1 lb per week.0

Personally, I was dropping weight like lightning around 1400 calories. I decided to try 1200 to see what would happen and it weight loss actually slowed down. I'm going back up to a higher number. Especially if you're exercising, your body needs something to fuel your muscles and metabolism. Your body can't function if it doesn't have any fuel.0
