Fighting hard this time

Hello Everyone!
I am Reba. I'm a 47 yr old who has reached that point where it seems impossible to lose a pound, let alone a whole bunch, which is what I need to do. I have gained and lost my whole life. Its been a constant battle and one I'm tired of fighting so I'm going for a victory! I will need encouragment along the way because I'm an emotional eater. I eat when I bored, sad, angry, happy. Food is my comfort. I want to change that into food is only my fuel and find my comfort in more appriorate places. I know it will be hard but it can be done.

    Hi there,

I'm 47 and have reached the same point as you! It seems impossible to lose weight. But I know it can be done.

I have had success in the past reading Dr. Steven Gullo's books. I get no money or anything for recommending them. Here is a link to his latest: http://www.amazon.com/Thin-Commandments-No-Fail-Strategies-Permanent-ebook/dp/B001L4L774/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384871953&sr=8-1&keywords=steven+gullo.

Like you, I am an emotional eater. Frustration and anxiety are my big two when it comes to running to the supermarket for chocolate cake. But I've been able to cut down lately, thank goodness, by reminding myself that those foods don't make me feel better. They only make me feel worse. Also, for certain foods (like chocolate), for me, it's better to go cold turkey. Having a little just leads to having a lot. Where moderation is impossible, elimination works.

Good luck, and I hope to see you on the boards! Feel free to send me a friend request.
