Fiber

I'm curious if anyone has a fiber supplement that they really like. Something in capsule format preferred. I have successfully in the past used the tasteless, colourless powder from the health food store. It is great, but I only seem to get it in me when I make a green smoothie. Which I don't seem to make consistently . Any advice on brands, or types that MFP members like?

I've never used anything in capsule or tablet form, but Benefiber works really well for me. I mix it in my coffee in the morning or if I forget I put it in my tea later in the day. It mixes well, is tasteless and has the effect it is supposed to.

In some countries you can buy Metamucil capsules. They need to be drunk with a decent sized cup of water

I don't normally have to resort to supplements for fiber as I get enough most days from food, but those rare occasions for whatever reason I don't, I take a couple of Fiber Advance Gummies. 15 calories, 6 carbs and 4 of those carbs are fiber...plus they are gummies, so a nice little sweet treat.

Citrucel is what I use and what my GI doc reccomended. Come in powder and pill form. I use the pill.
  • I use FiberSmart clear powder. Add a teaspoon to a glass of water 3X/day ( i drink it with each meal) and it gives 10g/day of the soluble fiber that is often missing from "high fiber" foods. Colorless, tasteless, and odorless.
