What is/are your favorite vacation destination/destinations and what do you like to do on vacation? (party, relax, sight see, do something active like ski, skydive, bungee jump, etc)

The Outer Banks in North Caroline is my choice for a summer vacation. I charter a fishing trip offshore and eat at good restaurants.

Snowshoe, West Virginia is my choice for a winter vacation. I snowboard, eat at nice restaurants and go snowmobiling.

Big Bear because I love the views and the snow. Rent a cabin over there, so much fun.
Mostly any place that has snow.
I do want to visit Brazil for their carnival celebrations. Topless ftw, plz.

I live on the beach in mass...so beach vacations don't hold much for me. But I LOVE snow so any chance I get I go up north, usually in NH so I can see my family as well

The Outer Banks in North Carolina

I have a friend that goes there a lot. I need a nice place to take my son and be able to stay on the beach.....any recommendations?


I am going on atleast 3 trips next yr..........I need to get away from this place and I think I have earned that this year.

Nags Head NC is probably the most popular place on the Outer Banks. I have a friend that has a cabin on the beach so I don't know the names of any places but there is an abundance of them if you search cabins and hotels in the OBX. Once you get there just ask some of locals for some ideas on things to do. There are public piers you can fish off of for one idea.

We go to the Outer Banks every October. We stay in Duck, which is a great little town. The beaches are dog friendly and the house that we rent is dog friendly. We prefer to go in October because the crowds aren't nearly as bad as they are during the summer. Plus the weather is much nicer.

If we go some place in the middle of the summer, we head for the mountains of NC and rent (again pet friendly) a cabin for a week. I love West Jefferson, it's a nice town, so we try to stay somewhere not too far from there.

I enjoy Maine and upper Michigan, but unless I have a couple of weeks off, I have to spend too much of my vacation driving to and from. Again, back to the pet friendly thing because we don't vacation without our dogs.

My FIL lives in Lewes, DE and is just a short walk from the beach on the Chesapeake Bay, so we enjoy visiting him in March/April, again before tourist season.
