So the first photo is one of me on my wedding day 9.1.12....and the second photo was taken last weekend as a "mug" shot for a St.Jude fundraiser 5K....I didn't really notice a difference in myself, other than my clothing, until a friend brought this to my attention...

When I gave birth to my 3rd (AND FINAL!!) child in March afterward I tipped the scales at 305..and I decided I couldn't take it any longer...I could no longer hide behind food or find my happiness in it. I started a C25K program in July once I was cleared to exercise again, and I have now moved on to a 10K training app...and I've found I LOVE running! I use it, instead of food, as my stress buster. Instead of grabbing that package of oreos and downing a gallon of milk, I strap on the shoes and hit the pavement...

I've found the support here to be a huge factor in my success, and want to say thank you to those that post their success stories and inspire the rest of us to stay on track. Ultimately I am responsible for my healthy, but reading about some of my own struggles through the lives of other help me see I am not alone in my journey.

Whether you are black, white, purple, pink, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, or clean....Calories in vs. Calories out, perserverence, and patience will get you where you need to be....Whether you choose to exercise or strictly do it on diet, it can be attained.

P.S. Hopefully this picture posting stuff worked..be gently it's my first time..
