Trying to Beat the Pessimism!

I've been in a funk the past two weeks or so. Been grabbing food a lot, and while I haven't been going over my calories too much, I've just been feeling generally bloated and crappy, and down on myself - you can't out exercise a bad diet, and that's really been ringing home with my laziness in that area lately. So even before this crappy period, I ALWAYS focus on how much work I still need to do, with minimal pride in what I HAVE done... so I took some progress photos to remind myself that I have done something worth being proud of already, and that I shouldn't discredit it just because I still have quite some pounds to go. Sometimes it just feels like I've barely made a dent...
Anyone else suffer from this? It's so frustrating!
Anyway, here's the photos! They made me pretty happy
(despite how yucky the before is)!!
This one's backwards with the "after" on the left, instead of the right... right is right when I started running, beginning of May. Left is from this past Sunday.

Stomach area, my "problem area," aka the most discouraging still -_- but these photos make me feel a bit better!! The before is from the very beginning of my journey on MFP. I had lost about 5 pounds from my highest then just from working on taming my anxious eating.

(first time uploading pics, I hope they work!)
ETA: had to resize them

18lbs and a LOT of obvious inches! Don't be discouraged. Hang in there. Hope I see that much difference with 18lbs! Waiting for your final success story!0
