Question about MFP

this may be a silly question. But im just curious. Im trying to figure out each week if I had enough calories to burn 1 lbs of fat. At the end of logging each week, if I took the amount of calories in my '' remaining '' area for all 7 days would that give me a correct or at least close guess to if I actually did burn the 3500 a week for the loss of 1 lbs?

As long as you eat your calories back.0

Nope, MFP does the calculating already when you enter your height, weight and activity level. You need to net at least what your goal is (or 1200, at the very, very least). Say if you have 1400 for a goal, there's already a deficit built in so that if you didn't exercise, you'd lose weight anyway.
If you were eating 1400 worth of calories and burning off 400 calories through vigorous exercise, you are actually netting 1000, which over time isn't great. Eat back at least half of those exercise calories.
You do not need to do any calculating yourself, MFP does that for you!0 -
thanks! good to know. I never knew that so I was never eating back the calories!0
