Can someone do the maths please as my cross trainer is way out as are the MFP estimates for cals burned.
I am 260lbs
6ft 4" tall
Aged 49
Cross trainer says 500 cals
MFP says 531 cals
For just 30 mins at a HR of 65% of max= 112 BPM average taken from a HR chest strap connecting to the cross trainer.
All sound too high to me, what do you think

If the cross trainer has a chest strap, then it is probably more accurate than the MFP estimate (assuming it asked for weight also). Not that they are really that far off (~6% difference). But remember - they are both estimates.
For a more accurate (but still not really definitive answer) get a personal Heart Rate Monitor.0 -
Assuming you are male with your figure my net calc would be 321 calories calculated here then converted to net calories

with the information provided you can calc fairly accurately yourself each time0 -
Sorry
