How to log this

I am not sure how to log in the following situation: Go to bed. Sleep a few hours. Get up (middle of the night) for a few hours. Back to bed. Back up in morning and on with the day.

The question is where do you log things eaten in that middle of the night, but awake zone?

The choices are: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Dessert (always after evening meal, typically sweet), Snacks (combined all day)

I know the easiest answer would seem be to just add a new category, but that would mess up all my previous entries so doesn't work for me. Make that the second easiest - the easiest would be to not log it at all, but that too is not acceptable.

Does the answer change when the food eaten is ice cream? what about popcorn? or a "breakfast sandwich"?

    log it where it makes sense to you, and log it in the same day consistently. I include 1am as yesterdays food, because of Friday and Saturday nights that might go late :)
  • you can change the names of the categories given, or add new ones in the settings. So, I would add a midnight snack category and then you can decide which day to log it under :smile:

    I normally log things like that under "breakfast" on the next day. Sometimes after a long night of indulging in adult beverages I'll hit up McDonalds or something. I add it to breakfast so that I can get control over my calories. That way it's not under my "yesterday" tab and I convince myself to forget about it :)
