Hi! Anyone losing weight while breastfeeding?

Hi all!

Just joined MFP today. I am 35, gave birth to kid #2 4 months ago. I have 10 pounds to lose to get back to pre-baby weight...and its been impossible, so here I am. I know I can't follow the calorie recommendations b/c MFP does not take into account breastfeeding..is anyone else in the same boat? How are you adjusting?

    Congrats on your baby!

    add 500 calories a day to what MFP says, for breastfeeding. Make sure you're getting plenty of water.
    You can do it! My friend lost 50 pounds while she was still breastfeeding without affecting supply. Don't over-due workouts.
  • THANKS! i just found the breastfeeding support group on here, so will look through for some more advice. i just added 500 calories of bfing as an exercise...and i'll go from there.
