Hello-

How do you guys log your calories burned with a group fitness class? I do a lot of step, cardio sculpt classes, but do not know how to log it? I wear a HR Monitor so I know my calories burnt, but I would like to log it somewhere.

Make your own category, it lets you type in something you create.

I go around after class and ask all the ladies how many cals THEY burned. (they love it) I pretend to text friends and write their numbers in my notes on my phone (not creepy) . Then I add up all their cals and divide by how many ladies are in there. (they make faces when I count) THen for all the ladies that are heavier than me I subtract 5 cals each. (they make worse faces when I ask all the fatties to take one step forward so I can count but whatevs). Then for all the ladies that are lighter than me I add 3 cals each. Then if it's a full moon I add 20 cals. Then if it's TOM I subract 15. Then I walk to the comp and forgot the number I do it all again. Then I resolve to buy my own HRM. Then I check my bank account and realize it's as screwy as my cals estimations. Then I give up. JSF.

Lol! What kind of class are you talking about OP? I do a lot of group fitness classes like zumba, body pump, u-jam etc and i just calculate calories burnt using HRM and add it as my own exercise in MFP.

    Heh...:drinker:

OP, invest in a HRM. Over time you will get good at estimating and won't have to wear it as often (if you don't want to). HRM are awesome and they will make your estimates a lot more accurate.
