How to fight the "hangry"?

I'm trying to reset my sleep cycle following some new research that came out saying a short hunger period can over ride your circadian rhythm and rest your internal time clock. I ate breakfast this morning at 8 am, and have been fasting the rest of the day. My plan is to eat breakfast again tomorrow morning. I was doing great most of the day (well, I slept a lot, so I it wasn't too hard!), but my parents had ribs for dinner, and now my stomach has been grumbling and I am getting grumpy! I've done multi day fasts before, but always when I was alone and didn't have to deal with food temptation! Any tips or tricks for getting through the next hour or so until I go back to bed?
