Looking for a Mentor

How would like to be my MFP friend? I don't need a friend who will post "way to go" and "keep it up" on my daily activity. What I'm looking for is someone who has lost some weight and truly seems to know how to do it (the most healthful way to go about it) . I am looking for someone with whom I can exchange messages about what I should (and shouldn't) be doing.

I have read about BMR and TDEE. I have read that 1,200 calories a day is too little (no matter what MFP tells me). I want to figure out how many calories a day I should be consuming. And when I start working out more I want to chat with someone as to how much I should work out and how many calories I am really burning and how many of those calories I should be eating back.

I guess I need a mentor. Is this something you want to take on? If so, please send me a friend request and let me know why you think you can steer me in the right direction.

Thanks!
Laura

Feel free to add me... I do have various meal plans and I participate in many face book groups for clean eating. I am currently at my goal weight and continue to work on building muscle mass while remaining lean. I am an avid runner and love P90X and T25 for building muscle. These programs have helped increase my run pace. I am 45 mother of 2 (22 and 18) and a senior manager at a software development company (desk job long hours so fitness is a must. I spend just as much time planning and preparing meals <-- this is key. You must eat healthy foods. Lots and Lots of veggies. I do have a 5 day clean eating meal plan (I am participating in this challenge right this wee,. Extremely easy meals not a lot of ingredients and you can make them a head of time so you are ready for the week.

I would be more then happy to share all the tools I have that has helped me maintain a healthy weight. I continue to work on learning more about fitness and nutrition. I am not 100% clean and never will be that is not my ultimate goal (I like my social time too much :-) and alcohol is a big NO NO but I still like to have my fun every now and then I just have to plan and account for those extra calories.

    Good Luck to you!
