Is your calorie deficit 500 or 1,000? Why?

it all depends on how much you have to lose, 2 pounds is very safe/possible for some, but not for all. My maintenance amount is only about 1800 with the lightly active setting, so I'd need to net 800 calories a day to lose 2 pounds a week and obviously that's not healthy. My goal is set to 1450 right now and I don't really care about losing a specific amount in a month or week, especially now that I'm so close to my goal (already lost almost 65 pounds).0
