NSV!!!! Coworkers Notice

Yesterday a man I work with came into my office and very carefully asked me if I had lost weight. I told him I had been but I am just trying to maintain now. He nervously said the thought it was good that I was not still losing because he was starting to worry about me. I assured him that 21% of me is still made up of fat and my BMI is dead center of normal. I am pretty sure the poor guy drew the short straw and was sent in by the group. I have been overweight the 6 years I have been working here so none of them have ever seen me at a healthy weight.
It is an NSV because even though I don't see a difference when I look in the mirror other people see the new healthy me. YAY!!!! I hope my self-image catches up soon.

Great story! Congrats! I too have felt the same way where others have noticed the weight loss but Im still confused as to how I feel. I know I have lost weight and others see it too but when I look in the mirror I just don't see it there. Best of luck on your goals!

I'm glad you see this as a NSV! I have read alot about people getting upset when someone asks them. I would be THRILLED! Congrats! Loved your reply to him!

Pugsleyjean, I have that same issue! I can see in my before and after pictures the change in my body, but on a daily basis when I look at myself I never see a change. But I did walk through the mirror aisle in Hobby Lobby the other day and caught a glimpse of my lower half...I did a double take and said whoa is that really me?! I wasn't a fat person anymore!

oooo its just fab when people notice, and sweet that they were worried. I often get a comment like is your stomach playing up again because you have lost a lot of weight....but its still a compliment because it means i look different and i know they are genuinely concerned.

May I add you as I am just starting maintenance (well a few more lbs but kranking up my cal intake slowly) and would like some more maintaining friends??

    ** Two things:
First, congrats on the weightloss! You are doing great.
Secondly, have you ever noticed that when we are fat, people do not say things like, "I am worried about you". When we have success losing weight, people come out of the woodwork to say that they are worried about us. Funny how that works

Good job! The same thing happened to me. Funny thing? It's not the women (at least in my case) who come up and ask, it's the men!
    And men my dad's age.

Awesome NSV! we get so used to seeing ourselves that we don't always notice. But when others notice it's an amazing feeling! High 5 to you!
