MUAH. Pretty dress0 -
This is my newest update and I'm still considered plus size.
Warning: I'm about to rant!
I HATE the term "plus size" I find the use of it to be detrimental to the women in our society. Have you seen women considered to be "plus size models"?
**Plus size model Robin Lawley"
Seriously?! If she's plus sized then what the hell size does that makes those us us larger than her? Over-sized? And if she's plus size then does that make the super skinny models that normally grace the covers of fashion magazines to be "negative-sized" I just think we need to get away from labeling women by their size. As we all know, women come in a variety of shapes and sizes; the world is full of beautiful, curvy women we see every day. Using the term plus size suggests that we're carrying excess weight beyond what is healthy and acceptable, beyond what is normal. I don't think that having beautiful curvy features should ever be used against us, our womanly curves should be celebrated!
[/rant]
Carry on ladies, and continue to celebrate the beauty that is you, in all your glorious curves
**Enjoying the beautiful curvy body I've been blessed with!!**
*edited trying to figure out how in the heck to bold words :-)
I hear ya. My body shape is similar to yours and I am just fine with it. :drinker: to all us beautiful curvy women. Rock on!0 -

My apologies to any of the ladies that felt uncomfortable from any of my posts. It certainly wasn't my intention to scare anyone away. Just was trying to show my appreciation to all of the beautiful "average" women on here.
I will tone down my comments in this thread going forward. :flowerforyou:0 -

I used to be so skinny as a teen and now that I've hit 20 and stopped dancing, my hips, legs, and chest have finally become more "womanly" I guess you could say, but I'm having trouble accepting it
5'7", 130lbs0 -

He's already apologized to the women on this thread. He's expressed remorse that he has made anyone feel uncomfortable. He understands that this thread is for celebrating the beautiful women that we all are and encouraging each other to be proud of our bodies and he feels bad that anything he said could have a negative effect on this thread and the women he commented to. I'm hoping we can all find in in ourselves to accept his apology and go back to cheering each other on for having the confidence to embrace our "average sized bodies" and be proud of all the accomplishments we've made to get here.0 -
This has always been my favorite thread on MFP, I loved the atmosphere of encouragement and cheering each other on for our victories. I enjoyed and appreciated seeing other women coming out of their shell and finding the confidence to post their photos and be proud of themselves. This thread has always been full of such positive feel-good vibes. It saddens me that the perceived internet equivalent of wolf whistles and cat calls from someone a little too enthusiastic was able to creep enough women out to ruin our little safe haven of positive encouragement for women and turn it into something dirty, making the women now feel like they're pieces of meat on display for the salacious eye of MFP males. :-( We had a good run.0

5'6 130 here! Average!

silverraiyne, as you know I did go back and review all of the posts I made since this thread rolled. Although most of my posts were of the "great job" nature, I definitely made some that were more of the "wolf whistle" nature. Again, I apologize for those posts and for making anyone uncomfortable for posting.
I know you feel there are others that have gone this route as well, but I want to do what I can to get the thread you love back on track. I know there are some that doubt my sincerity, so instead of toning down my posts in this thread I will simply just not post in here going forward.
Good luck with getting the thread back on track. :flowerforyou:0 -

Amazing!! I love your abs!!! Totally jealous! Congrats on all your hard work.0 -
Really loved reading through this thread. Lots of beautiful women on here. Feel weird posting this, but here's my Averaged Sized Body photo. 5'8" no way in hell I am telling my weight, though. Not there yet. Twenty pounds down with about 40ish more to go.
