The "Home Stretch" is Rough!!

Hey MFP!

I am trying to lose the last 10 pounds to get to my goal weight, and I must say it is ROUGH!

For those of you who have hit goal weight: how did you lose the last little bit? I feel like I've been working so hard and cutting so many calories with little reward.

Also, for those of you struggling with the last little bit, please share your stories too

I had to readjust my workout routines. Instead of using machines (stationary bike, elliptical, weight lifting machines), I know do HIIT & cardio at home. I just Youtube Jillian Michaels or get on FitnessBlender on Youtube. My eating has been the same. Have you re-evaluated your calorie intake? Some people need more or less as they get smaller & more fit. As you get closer to your goal, weight loss will be a lot slower, especially if your already at a healthy BMI. I'm now focusing on toning up my body more than the number on the scale. Good Luck!

This is probably a good idea. I usually do the elliptical but maybe I will add more resistance training to the mix.

Do you think pilates is good? Or is it better to to weights or HIIT?

I gotta say, I do blogilates' pilates videos, and I have lost 10 pounds just from that. They are awesome and I gained a lot of strength too. I am like you, on the home stretch. It is really rough.

I actually have the app, but I've only done it like two or three times. I will have to be better!

I like the VS series, maybe I'll stick with that.

And that's very inspiring that it helped you lose the exact amount I need to lose

I joined a couple of MFP Challenges and a local YMCA Challenge and forced myself to meet all of them. It really kept me accountable during the last six weeks. Now I am definitely ready for the holidays...well at least I think I am!!
