OMG this is so good! I need gluten free graham crackers to make this now!!0 -
Anything and everything. My goal this year is to be aware of what I eat and choose what I put into my mouth with informed knowledge. I won't deprive myself but I want to avoid the mindless eating. If I choose to eat something it will be a CONSCIOUS choice. What's the worst that can happen? I gain a pound or two for a few days? I know how to make it go away and I plan to enjoy a day of good food. Heck, I may even have a glass of wine, or 5! As far as menu plans, I'm going to a friend's house so their menu will be a surprise. I'm assuming turkey and stuffing. I am contributing homemade cranberry sauce and pumpkin cheesecake.0

Nothing. I am fasting on Thanksgiving to bring awareness to hunger in America, specifically children and seniors.
Did you know that when Thanksgiving as a national holiday was proposed to Thomas Jefferson in 1808, it was intended to be a national day of fasting? Interesting that it's pretty much the opposite in our modern society.0 -
Going to the inlaws- it's very traditional and not too inventive or surprising:
Oven roasted turkey
gravy
whipped mashed potatoes
rolls
corn with butter
oyster stuffing/dressing
sweet potato casserole
cole slaw
apple pie
pecan pie
pumpkin pie (I am bringing this- MIL for some odd reason doesn't make it)
Martinellis (no drinkers in the family, surprisingly)
edited to add cranberry sauce (jellied) and my SIL always brings a cheese ball and deviled eggs.
My plate will have turkey, gravy, a dollop of sweet potato casserole, MAYBE some corn. I will have a piece of pumpkin pie for dessert. I'm going to be drinking vitamin water zero. I plan to enjoy myself that day but still log everything, even if I am over on calories.0 -
Just my daughter and I for Thanksgiving...and since she's also eating healthy, the menu will be cooked healthy-style!!
Turkey Breast
Mashed Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes
Green Bean Casserole
Fruit Salad
Still trying to figure out a dessert that's good but won't throw us overboard. I know...it's Thanksgiving but we don't mind and would like to stick with the plan as much as we can.
Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecakes. I've made these and they're really really yummy. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/09/pumpkin-swirl-cheesecake-yogurt.html0 -
