Is this diet safe or is this diet dangerous. Eating 5 days what you want and 2 days off.

I believe the two days "off" you only eat approximately 500 calories. But I could be wrong, I'm not overly familiar with the specifics of this method. However, it is NOT dangerous. It is simply another method to achieve a certain weekly average.0

Join the group. Read the book. See the documentary. It's safe if done correctly and you have no medical conditions that are affected by fast days.0

It's not supposed to be a "diet", it's a different way of eating done for purported health benefits. The diet world has grabbed onto it as a weight loss method by using it to create a deficit in weekly eating. Nothing wrong with doing that except some people take it to the extreme so they are averaging very low calorie intakes for the week which can be dangerous in the long term.0

My understanding of the 2 day diet: Eat "healthy" for 5 days; for two days you eat low carb, =50 carbs. The two days do not have to be consecutive. I find when I have my low carb day that my calories are naturally lower (actually, too low). But... I always feel better the next day after being away from the starchy stuff for a mere day. One day is not hard to accomplish. I can't get through the week without a splurge here and there and the 2 low carb days help me keep the week in balance. I miss the fruits and whole grains so I'm glad to get up the next day and get back to my regular fare. I try to eat lots of fruits/vegetables, except on my 2 low carb days. The information I am using I obtained from a past issue of Prevention Magazine - July 2013.0

Well, what he said was correct. It shouldn't be done to create a very low average weekly intake.0
