Hi all!
The name is Simone. I am 25 and am on MFP in order to bring my weight down as well as lose inches in a healthy, self-paced manner. I use this app to actively and consciously keep myself accountable because I will allow other things in life to take priority if I don't.
To explain my heading...I realized I was blaming myself harshly for my weight and body gain. I need to keep reminding myself that it is something that happened over time and getting it back off will take time as well. In the meantime, I need to make sure I'm being nice to myself; the world is mean enough as it is. Hopefully anyone reading this will take a moment to be nice to themselves and do something nice for themselves as well.

I'm new also, and realize I've been doing the same thing! I agree we should be kind to ourselves and work toward fitness in a positive manner and with positive thoughts! A healthy lifestyle should be a treat to oneself, not a punishment!
