I don't have cheat days. It's a concept I just can't get my head around.

I eat what I want every day of the week, provided it is within my calorie limit. That way, I'm not inclined to splurge.

I did it once in 9 months.. I was probably 700 calories over my maintenance. I don't typically have cheat days either. It just happened one day because I was starving and we stopped at a place that didn't have a healthier menu or nutrition info, so I just picked whatever... and it could have been way worse. And I'll probably do it again for Christmas, but that's probably it.

Typically I eat what I want within my calories, I just make room for it. I've gone over a couple times but I was still under maintenance.

    ^ This.

But then sometimes I do go over my maintenance calories... but really my maintenance calories is generally a LOT of food. It doesn't happen often. Yesterday, for instance, I went over my weight loss target, but was basically dead on my maintenance even with a turkey dinner and 2 slices of pie. I don't think I could have continued to stuff food in me beyond that...

If you do it now and again, it won't kill you... but I would just continue logging all of what you eat so you can see it in your diary and you can gauge how it is impacting your goals.

My life has built-in cheat days for which I don't bother counting. I'm gonna go over my maintenance calories for Christmas dinner, friends' and relatives' birthdays if we go out to eat, other special occasions that I don't really want to be the person ordering steamed veggies and making everyone else feel ashamed of their french fries. I don't make my own cheat days, I just enjoy myself without thinking about calories when the opportunity naturally arises.

I don't log on cheat days but probably! Its not like I'm going to have 1 oz of everything at the Thanksgiving table just to stay within my calorie limit. If you want to do a little better, only have cheat meal instead of the whole day.
