    Most of the friends I have on here are people I already knew in real life... I saw a guy at the gym yesterday and I kept thinking he looked really familiar but I didn't know where I knew him from... it wasn't until after I left that I realized I'd seen him here on the forums! I haven't 'met' anyone though...

    Maybe both... I go through phases where I might get on the boards every day for a week and then not again for a month... and I've never really had a private conversation with anyone that I don't know. As for the scary part... a little, yeah. I've never been on a dating site either... I realize it's a normal thing now and not taboo like it used to be... I'm not saying I never would... just haven't yet.
