    Yes met one for a walk. Had a three day party in the Swiss alps with other online friends though and another cooked me a whole roast suckling pig :)

    Most of the friends I have on here are people I already knew in real life... I saw a guy at the gym yesterday and I kept thinking he looked really familiar but I didn't know where I knew him from... it wasn't until after I left that I realized I'd seen him here on the forums! I haven't 'met' anyone though...

    Maybe both... I go through phases where I might get on the boards every day for a week and then not again for a month... and I've never really had a private conversation with anyone that I don't know. As for the scary part... a little, yeah. I've never been on a dating site either... I realize it's a normal thing now and not taboo like it used to be... I'm not saying I never would... just haven't yet.

    Sure. I have visited one of the people on my FL, even though we live on opposite sides of the country. We became friends via a completely different forum many years ago and have caught up in person many times over years. She is as awesome in rl as she is online, so why not.

    I would be happy to meet most of the people on my friends list in person! Well those whose newsfeeds I haven't hidden due to overly needy posts.
