I have been having a very, very rough day. I have been doing really well with counting calories and have lost 6lbs since August 1st.
I am an emotional eater for sure but have been doing awesome at not giving in. I generally feel full and satisfied after my nightly popcorn ;)

Tonight is different. I want to eat everything in the house. I am so stressed out and have zero energy today. I am emotional drained and just want to eat. I am probably over my calories. I had some homemade soup today and didn't know the calorie content so who knows I could be under I could be over.

I want to eat. I want a snack. I want something sweet.

HELP!

Don't eat, you really don't want it. Go for a walk, have a bubble bath, sit down with a pen and paper and write out all the reasons you are taking this journey. Have some veggies or a little pb on whole wheat toast, trust me the guilt that you will have for eating for the wrong reasons is going to get you, It's hard, but you have to break the habit with other healthy habits....good luck.

Its ok. Take a deep breath in...............and out. ok do that a few more time if you need to lol. now put on some relaxing music... i enjoy spa radio on pandora very soothing opposite of stress. make yourself some tea sit back close your eyes and just enjoy the moment. It will be ok.
  • Drink some tea. And also when I want to eat everything around me I have several different flavors of gum! ))) It helps me not to through something else into my mouth.
  • Take out a pad and pen and list all the things in your life that you are happy about. Start (if you can) with the things we all take for granted like two arms, two legs, ten fingers, etc...... continue with your loved ones, family and friends, your church, your hobbies, your pets, etc., etc., etc. Then think about all the people in this world who don't have what you have at this very minute and maybe can never even hope to have what you have. In other words, count your blessings. If you actively think about it for awhile, you will begin to feel better and can get past this bump in your weight loss road. Not preaching, just want to share and tell you this works for me. Good luck!

    HELP!

Why not take a few moments and use the receipe calculator to determine just how many calories are in your soup.. it might distract you and will help you for next time you make it.
