Which on to believe for calories burnt

Hey guys,

I go to the gym on a regular bases and at the end of my set I always take note of the calories burnt given to me by the machine. But I noticed when I enter my exercises in MFP he default amount of calories bunt is really higher. For example, for 15 minutes in the Xtrainer, the machine gives me 43 calories  burnt but MFP gives me 207  . There's a huge difference there. :noway:

So which one can I really believe?

Thanks

  • Does the Xtrainer ask you for your gender, age, weight and height? MFP takes those into account and gives a more 'personalized answer'. But MFP doesn't consider intensity and resistance. Neither are right. I'd do with an average of the two.

Well you're so right. None can really be accurate. I'll do an average of the two for my entry. T

  • Don't forget to subtract the amount of cals you would have burned in that time in daily life.
