Does anyone know the cal burn of this activity?

l.jpg

It felt like a lot, but I don't think it's enough to cover the nearly 3,300 calorie overage I have for the day I attended a birthday party there. Has anyone HRM'd themselves there or know where I can find the cal burns on this activity....because while I don't think it's 3,300 calories, I'd at least like to make a dent. Plus I have a Zumba class facing me tomorrow so...yeah.

I have no idea as I've never used a HRM while continuously jumping about on one. There is a Cosmic Jump a few minutes from my house, though.

This super legit looking website called mycaloriesburned.com says this:

The amount of calories burned jumping on the trampoline will change based on a few different things, such as your weight, since jumping is a lot more effort when you weigh more.

If you weigh roughly 130 pounds: 207 calories burned trampoline per hour
If you weigh roughly 155 pounds: 246 calories burned per hour
If you weigh roughly 180 pounds: 286 calories burned per hour
If you weigh roughly 205 pounds: 326 calories burned per hour

Wow, I would've thought it would burn more that that. My daughter trampolines, and despite being very fit, she is quite worn out after her trampoline class!

one day isn't going to kill you.

let it go and move on- stop trying to out run your fork.

I have never been to a group trampoline place like you have in the picture. I have taken Tramp classes where we each had our individual trampoline. I want to say my calorie burn was average about 350 for a class but I always wore my HRM.

I wear a HRM when i go to Sky Zone with my kids. I think the last time i was there I jumped for an hour and i ended up burning between 500 & 600 calories. But i'm not just jumping up and down, i do other types of exercise while there. The one near me has a fitness class you can sign up for, but I don't think it's 'worth the money"

For Skyrobics I log it as the aerobics, high intensity choice on mpf. For 1 hour I trust it's about the right calorie count (400+).
