    - just eat them like you would treat everything else- eat them if you like them and don't eat to much of it.

How did we get to the point where fruit is demonised. :noway:

No disrespect to you OP, because the volume of misinformation makes it difficult to know the truth.

Apples are a natural healthy product. They contain natural fructose, but that is not in any way a bad thing. As long as you count the calories as you do everything else, you'll be fine.

About 80 each, in answer your next question ;-)

If it fits into your calories for the day and you want one, have it. If you had some condition that made apples bad for you (like a blood sugar problem, for example), you would already know that you can't have it. Otherwise, have the apple.

Apples are a wonderul thing to eat - I eat one nearly every day. Try not to eat for a couple of hours before bedtime. Your body needs to be recharging and not digesting food.
  • Nope, they are good. As long as you brush your teeth after, because, you know, fruit sugars sitting in your mouth all night, not a great idea :D

I have a blood sugar problem and eat about 4-5 apples a week

Can I eat 4-5 in a row? Nope. It's all about moderation.

I don't see how it could be bad. They're normally low in calories (depending on size) and are a good source of fiber (not excellent but good), plus they help regulate blood sugar. I will snack on an apple almost every evening.

Exactly. You know when you can and can't have things because you know you have a blood sugar problem. I was trying to imply that if she can have it because there's nothing telling her she can't, but I guess that didn't come across.

Unless you get an anaphylactic reaction to apples (like my daughter and husband), I think they are a great snack.
