Injured - need to find exercise that won't raise my heart ra

Ok, to make a long story short, I was attacked a few days ago. I'm not going to go into too much detail here but it was a totally random act of violence, I wasn't mugged or anything and other than a broken nose and a very sore head, I am fine. I've been feeling a bit down ever since and have comfort ate a little.
HOWEVER, my main form of exercise is usually 3 intense kettle bell personal training sessions a week on a Power Plate. I'd originally thought it might be ok to do the kettle bells without the Plate, so i left a message for my trainer on Monday asking whether this wold be ok. Well, the guy who usually trains me is an ex squaddie who's trained loads of professional athletes, and he phoned me back a few hours later to say no, it was probably best to leave it until I'd been to the ear nose and throat specialist next week. He said he's trained some ice hockey players (they break their noses all the time, it's just a perk of the job I guess) and if you do exercise that raises your heart rate loads, it might cause the bleeding to start up again.
I've not done any exercise this week at all - I didn't go to my pilates class last night because I had a really sore head (probably 50% broken nose, 50% screaming child on the too-hot bus home last night) so I didn't even do that. My boyfriend said I shouldn't go to yoga as anything that involves me being upside down may be a bad idea as well.
This is doing my head in - I hate not being able to do anything, and from the sounds of both boyfriend and personal trainer, seems there's pretty much very little i CAN do...other than the pilates, which I am going to tonight instead.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Take a walk, do some gentle strength training (low weight slow reps) do some stretching. Don't do anything that involves your face going lower than your waist. No heavy lifting or straining. No asprin or motrin products. No sauna, swimming or hot tubs. No blowing of the nose. Use a nettie pot to gently rinse your sinus and nose with warm saline. Use a saline spray to moisten the sinus and nose as needed. Use an antibiotic ointment anywhere you have open skin or sutures inside or out. No matter how much it itches no picking or poking! (Uhh, yeah that sounded gross)
I had some rather extensive sinus and nasal surgery last year. Worst pain I have ever had. The doc wanted me to stay off work for 3 weeks because my job entailed a lot of lifting (30-70lbs), carrying and bending. I got my boss to agree to a helper for me at work for 2 weeks so I only had to take off 1 week. The doc ok'ed the 1 week off and 2 weeks light duty. I of course ignored the instructions and pushed. I ended up in the ER with blood coming out my nose because I popped a vessel. So now it went to 3 weeks light duty. Doc wasn't happy, boss wasn't happy and I wasn't happy. Save yourself some pain, agravation and wasted time and do what the doc says. It won't take you long to get back to your usual exercise routine.
Good Luck!0
