Missed Calories

Sorry if this has been asked before. I am not necessarily asking for "advice" because I know I just need to make better plans for tomorrow, but ..... I am far below my calories for today despite thinking I was doing well and staying full. I am new to this calorie tracking stuff and just want to know if I should be terribly concerned and try to eat more or just start new tomorrow. It is almost 6pm and about to eat dinner, but I prepared vegetable and quinoa stuffed bell peppers and am not expecting a big calorie boost from that. haha I also don't want to be eating too late. I guess this seems silly as I type it out, but a little reassurance would help.

Quinoa is rather dense in calories... so never know!
Question, why you don't want to eat too late? It is only 6 pm - what stops you form getting all your calories - macros in before going to bed?

"They" say not to eat too close to bedtime. Oh well I guess.

Save 'em for another day when you are hungrier or want a treat. I average my calories out by the day, not the week, it's pretty great. Also it doesn't matter when you eat, as long as it fits your calories.

"They" are basing this off studies that showed a correlation between late-night eating and being overweight, without regards to calorie intake. And this is true -- people who eat late at night while watching tv or something tend to plow through quantities of calorie-dense food.

However, there isn't really a difference when you eat your meals if calorie intake is controlled.

Obviously if eating before bed gives you heartburn or something, you shouldn't do it. Otherwise, knock yourself out. Do what makes it easier for you to comply with your eating plan.

plan your meals ahead, that will give you an option to adjust your intake to your daily limit

^this. Takes 10minutes at most and you never run into problems. Plus depending on your goal (weight loss or weight gain), overall calorie intake PER WEEK is crucial as well. Spread them out for the rest of the week
