weight loss question

This might be a silly/strange question but this has never been an issue for me before.
After a bit of a bad time, in the past three months I have gained around 7lb (unwanted)
I am having real trouble shifting this weight, something which has never been a problem for me before.
I have been eating sensibly and at a deficit and have been adding exercise into my day as well.
Are there any reasons why I might be finding it hard to lose weight that I've gained? I usually have no problems losing weight

Are you measuring and tracking everything you eat? How many calories are you eating? Opening your diary would help. What types of exercise are you doing? Are you lifting weights?0

The only things that I can think of are not being completely honest with your logging, high sodium and then we can get into all the medical issues that could prevent it..thyroid issues, insulin sensitivity....when was the last time you have really tried to lose weight? If it was quite a while ago then perhaps age is becoming a factor..slowing metabolism. I would make sure you have outstanding logging, eating at a deficit, working out (including strength training)..if you are 100% positive you are doing those things right then after a month or so...maybe look for that medical reason.0
